Farm | Wilga Station
Wilga Station is an easy, scenic three hour drive from Sydney or Canberra, with sealed roads every inch of the way. The roads in the area are sealed, well sign-posted and Wilga Station is located right off the Mid-Western Hwy – super easy to find!
There are also direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Bathurst and Orange.
Wilga Station is located at 1611 Mid Western Hwy, Evans Plains, just 12 minutes from the Bathurst CBD and 40 minutes from Orange. It is less than three hour’s drive from Sydney or Canberra.
Children are welcome to stay in The Shearers Hall, but not in The Farmers Hut, where only infants under 2 are allowed. You must provide your own infant bed.
There are open waterways on Wilga Station, with a creek and open dams on the property. There are also outdoor open fire facilities and indoor wood burning fireplaces, so children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
For the Farmers Hut, check-in is 2pm and check-out is 10am. For the Shearers Hall, check-in is 3pm and check-out is 11am. We are very happy to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs (at no extra charge) depending on availability.
As much as we love pets, the answer is sadly, no. Wilga Station is a working sheep farm, with livestock and sheep dogs. It is also abundant with Australian native wildlife. It is not suitable for pets.
The Farmers Hut comes with a complimentary, premium bottle of wine from the region and a breakfast hamper – both of which will be waiting for you upon arrival in the fridge. The breakfast hamper features seasonal ingredients for you to cook up a gourmet hot breakfast on the BBQ, from a mixture of produce grown onsite and from the region. An antipasto platter or dinner hamper is also available to purchase at an extra charge.
The Shearers Hall comes with a complimentary breakfast hamper that feeds 10 – featuring seasonal ingredients for you to cook up a gourmet hot breakfast on the BBQ or in the fully stocked kitchen, from a mixture of produce grown onsite and from the region. A dinner hamper that feeds either 5 or 10 people is also available to purchase at an extra charge.

Our Farmers Hut has its own outdoor sheltered BBQ area and kitchenette with mini fridge.
Our Shearers Hall is built for cooking communal banquets and feasts. It has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, cooktop, microwave and fridge along with a pantry stocked with staples. There is also a large entertaining deck and BBQ outside.

Our Farmers Hut Dinner Package and Shearers Hall Dinner Hamper includes the best of local and Wilga Station produce that will tantalise the tastebuds. Redesigned with each season to make the most of local seasonal produce, they include all the ingredients you need to cook up a storm.
The 2-course Farmers Hut Dinner Package can be purchased for $125 and feeds two with a main course and dessert. You can purchase this when booking the Farmers Hut.
A vegetarian option is always available, but please request this at the time of booking, or email info@wilgastation.com.au a minimum of 72 hours prior to your arrival date (otherwise, we cannot guarantee the availability of ingredients).
The 2-course Shearers Hall Dinner Hamper can be purchased in two sizes: to feed 5 people for $220 or to feed 10 people for $380. Both options provide a main course and dessert. Either option can be purchased when booking the Shearers Hall. Unfortunately, as this is a shared communal meal we cannot cater to individual dietary requirements.

Yes, you can.
We have built our accommodation structures to be eco-friendly, with sustainable building materials and power. The Farmers Hut is 100% off-grid, using rainwater collection and solar power. The Shearers Hall also uses 100% rainwater collection and is powered predominantly by solar energy.
There is ample power to charge phones, laptops, and the appliances provided, and whilst you can bring your own appliances such as hairdryers (we do not provide them), we do ask that you limit their use.
Unfortunately no, the Farmers Hut has a maximum of 2 guests (and a child under 2) and the Shearers Hall has a maximum of 10 guests (excluding infants).
The Shearers Hall has been cleverly designed to maximise every inch of available space. As such, there is no room in the bedrooms or living area for additional beds, mattresses or swags, and the couch (a bespoke built banquette) is not wide enough for someone to sleep on.
Absolutely! There are two swimming locations at the Wilga Station farm. The first is our natural swimming pond, only 100m from the accommodation, which has a swimming pontoon as well as kayaks for guests to use. Towels and life jackets are provided in the accommodation.
The second is down at Wilga Creek (at the end of our bushwalking track, The Sheep Trail, a stunning 20 min walk from the Shearers Hall and Farmers Hut).
*Please note, both swimming locations are unsupervised and guests must exercise caution. Please refer to the guest handbook upon check in for safety information.
Most definitely! However, Wilga Station is surrounded by Australian bushland, therefore outdoor fire-pits cannot be used from December 1st to March 1st (subject to local conditions and fire warnings). They are also not to be used during windy conditions.
Wilga Station is a non-smoking premises, smoking is not permitted inside any of the properties or outside due to the fire danger during summer periods and times of drought. If you have any questions about this, please get in touch with us.
We do NOT allow ANY kind of motorsport on the property. This includes, but is not limited to motorbikes, ATVs and dirt bikes. Apart from the noise problems, it is also a decision based on insurance.

The Shearers Hall and Farmers Hut both have a 2x night minimum. We do offer single night stays, midweek, in our Bathurst City accommodation, The Wool Store.
We do not allow any camping at Wilga Station and for insurance purposes cannot accommodate any additional guests on top of our accommodation maximum - 2 adults at the Farmers Hut and 10 adults at the Shearers Hall (not including infants under 2).
Both the Farmers Hut and Shearers Hall are easily accessible, with parking directly in front of the buildings.
The Farmers Hut has one low step at the front door, otherwise has no further steps in the building, with a flat, even concrete floor.
The Shearers Hall has been designed to support and welcome guests with low or no mobility. It has a ramp leading to the building and no steps once inside. Please indicate that you have mobility requirements upon booking and we can make adjustments prior to your stay.
Both the Farmers Hut and Shearers Hall have been designed to ensure they are cool in summer and warm in winter, but there is no air conditioning available.
The Farmers Hut is insulated with its grass roof. It also has a ceiling fan and windows on all sides to allow for air flow. In winter there is a wood fireplace available that keeps the structure warm and snug.
The Shearers Hall also has no air conditioning but is raised on stilts allowing for cool air-flow beneath. It is very well insulated and has ceiling fans in every bedroom. In winter there is a large wood burning fireplace which keeps the building warm and comfortable and hot water bottles are provided for all guests.
We offer a full refund for cancellations if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.
Absolutely! If you require any specific dietary requirements, please reach out at least 14 days prior to your stay so we can ensure we can source the necessary ingredients. Similarly, due to supply difficulties, we now only supply full cream milk in the accommodation. If you require dairy alternatives please let us know before you arrive.
Wilga Station is a place to switch off and unwind, as such there are no televisions in either the Farmers Hut or Shearers Hall.
The Farmers Hut is now equipped to be a remote working location and is equipped with complimentary wifi. If you require any additional equipment to facilitate your remote work please let us know ahead of your stay and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
City | The Wool Store
Bathurst is an easy, scenic, three hour drive from Sydney or Canberra, and 45 minute drive from Orange, with sealed roads every inch of the way. There are also direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Bathurst and Orange.
The Wool Store is located at 121A Keppel St in the Bathurst CBD, between Rankin St and George St. You’ll see a black sign for the Wool Store on Keppel St, simply drive a short way down the carriage way and the parking bays are in front of the building.
Children are welcome to stay in the Wool Store. However we do not provide any amenities for infants, you must provide your own infant bed, high chair etc.
There are also outdoor open fire facilities and indoor gas fireplaces in the Wool Store, so children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
The Penthouse: Check-in is at 3:00 pm, check-out is at 11:00 am.
Soho: Check-in is at 2:00 pm, check-out is at 10:00 am.
Upper East Side: Check-in is at 2:00 pm, check-out is at 10:00 am.
Upper West Side: Check-in is at 2:00 pm, check-out is at 10:00 am.
Midtown: Check-in is at 2:00 pm, check-out is at 10:00 am.

As much as we love pets, the answer is sadly, no. The Wool Store is not equipped to deal with animals and for the comfort and safety of guests, no pets are allowed on the premises.
Most definitely! All apartments come equipped with a full kitchen, cooking and fridge facilities.
The Penthouse is built for cooking communal banquets and feasts. It has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, full size fridge along with cooking staples such as salt, pepper, olive oil etc.
Yes, dinner and breakfast hampers (and cheese platters) are available to purchase at The Wool Store. Simply choose these extra items when booking your stay.
You'll also find a variety of restaurants, cafes and places to dine within walking distance from The Wool Store and each apartment comes equipped with a tea and coffee station, with milk and sugar.
Unfortunately the Wilga Station farm and Sheep Trail are exclusively for our farm guests, staying on site in the Shearers Hall and the Farmers Hut. Wool Store guests are not permitted to utilise the farm facilities.
Yes, there is 1 dedicated, off street, parking space for each apartment. The Penthouse apartment has 2 car spaces. There is also on street parking available.
ONLY Our Soho apartment has a double sofa bed (with inner spring mattress) available for a one off charge of $95. If you require the sofa bed, please indicate this in the booking notes and the one off fee will be charged separately to the card used for booking.

We offer single night stays in all our apartments midweek (Sunday - Thursday). Over the weekend all apartments have a two-night minimum.
Unfortunately, as the Wool Store is a heritage building, it is only accessible via stairs and there is no accessible entry way or elevator.
Our Soho apartment is located on the ground floor, with its own private entrance, however there are 3 steps to enter the building.
The Midtown, Upper East Side and Upper West Side apartments are located on the first floor, up 1 flight of stairs.
The Penthouse is located on the third floor, up 2 flights of stairs.
The Midtown, Upper West Side and Penthouse apartments all have internal laundry facilities in each apartment, with a washing machine and dryer or combined washer / dryer. However the Soho and Upper East Side apartments do not have laundry facilities.
Yes, every apartment comes with complimentary wifi and a television, where guests can access their own tv streaming accounts, such as Netflix etc.
Not every apartment has a ‘free to air’ antenna on their television, however all should be able to access the ‘free to air’ tv channel apps.
The Soho, Midtown, Upper East, Upper West and Penthouse apartments all have reverse cycle air conditioners, in addition to ceiling fans (and in the penthouse a Lopi gas fireplace).
The only apartment without air conditioning is Tribeca. However, not only is it the most insulated apartment, it comes equipped with ceiling fans, oil heaters and has excellent ventilation during the summer months.

Yes, our Tribeca apartment in The Wool Store is designed for our medium to long term guests. It has a minimum 4x night stay and can be booked by the week. For a longer term stay reach out to us at info@wilgastation.com.au for a quote.
During the Bathurst 1000 motor race (and other major motorsports events) The Wool Store is only available to book in entirety (all apartments). Please reach out via info@wilgastation.com.au if you would like to discuss this further.
